President Bush's strategic advisor comments on Iraq war

Former Bush strategist Karl Rove admitted on Tuesday that had the truth been known about the WMD, prehaps the US may not have gone to war in Iraq. This statement is contradictory to what President Bush has been vehemently denying all this time.
These remarks were delivered during a vigorous debate in NY, regarding the legacy left behind by President Bush in the aftermath of the Iraq war. Rove argued that the dictator Saddam Hussein was supporting terrorism and had posed a grave threat to the stability of the entire region and had systematically duped the international community into thinking that he was armed with WMD.

President Zardari Backtracks

The Indian Govt. had demanded return of 21 most wanted terrorists from Pakistan. These included names like Dawood Ibrahim and Hafeez Sayid who is the head of Lashkar E Taiba.
The Indian Govt. has already declared categorically that the attacks in Mumbai was carried out by Pakistani elements. However, Pakistan refuses to hand over the individuals saying that there is no conclusive evidence linking the terrorists to Pakistan.
Meanwhile teams from FBI and Scotland Yard have arrived at Mumbai to assist with the investigations and it appears from preliminary investigations that the attacks were indeed the handiwork or Pakistani origin nationals.
The civilian government in Pakistan is cornered between hardline elements within Pakistan and mounting pressure to cooperate from US.

Recession is finally confirmed

Finally, the recession has been confirmed. The National Bureau of Economic Research has made official declaration that country has been in recession since December 2007. The NBER takes into account a number of statistics to determine when the recessions begins and ends. However, this is determined only after the fact has been established, which can be quite a long way from the time these figures start showing signs of impeding recession.
The figures are indicative of how the economy has been performing. Stock Markets have been taking a tumble and effects of recession has been slowly affecting all the sectors quite significantly.
Asia and other parts of the world are also seeing the effects of global meltdown in the credit crises.

Condolezza Rice to visit India

As a show of support and solidarity in the aftermath of terrorist attacks in Mumbai, Rice is expected to vist India on behalf of the Bush Government. Last figures estimate that atleast six US nationals were among those killed in the tragedy.

"What we are emphasizing to the Pakistani government is the need to follow the evidence wherever it leads," Rice said. "I don't want to jump to any conclusions myself on this, but I do think that this is a time for complete, absolute, total transparency and cooperation and that's what we expect."
If Pakistan does not assist India in its investigation and does not extend full cooperation, a fallout is expected.
President in waiting, Barack Obama, managed not to comment much on the issue, saying that there is only one President who will address the issue presently and that global diplomacy is needed to handle this delicately.

CyberMonday Deals : Deal with it

What exactly is CyberMonday Deals?
Well, just couple of days back, you might have heard all the commotion over BlackFriday shopping.CyberMonday deals are the kick-off for all online retail discount sales. You can find the best online deals and best products at a discount. Electronics, Ipods, games, Xbox and other items are in high demand during this season.
However, this season is also one of the worst due to the ongoing economic crises. There is expected to be a huge rise in number of phishing, malicious malware and viruses.
Consumers due to their vulnerability to these low prices, might end up downloading all of these software.
Still, consumers can take simple steps to protect themselves. Security experts urge PC users to be wary of cut-rate deals from unfamiliar online merchants. They also suggest using multiple passwords when shopping and using the most up-to-date Web browsers and anti-virus software.

Making money with blogs - a hint of realism

This post is a little off beat and hopefully a bit informative, it is about taking a reality check before venturing into making money with blogs. I think many are going through financial difficulties, and looking for ways and means to make money on the side, contrary to what some think I am not a reality so different from you.
What bothers me is that it seems that I have become a 'merchant of illusions,' when my goal has always been and will continue to be to disseminate information. To align the expectation of some readers with reality, let me share lessons I have learned from my experience working online.

Lesson no. 1: Create a unique environment of information for your visitors. Only when you are able to create some unique information which is not available on every other blog, will you be able to keep visitors coming back for more. Information should be aligned with your expertise in one subject and preferably should also be useful to your readers. People who are successful with online blogs are very careful to post content which is unique and gives better information that is not available elsewhere
Lesson no. 2: Study as much as possible, if you think you'll find a ready recipe for solving the mysteries of building a site I think you will be dissapointed. I bought books on design, spent years studying HTML, CSS, Javascript, MySQL, PHP and still have a lot to learn because the Internet is a land in constant transformation. Ultimately you will have to use your time more constructively and your outsourced work at one point or the other. It is impossible to work alone and handle a lot of work on your own. Automation or outsourcing is one of the most important lessons to learn if you want to be effective and earn money online.

My intention is not to discourage anyone, however the realities are very different from what you see on the pages of most salts internet marketers that you find online and you will more often than not be wasting money on things that do not work. I hope that this post will help you to be more productive and achieve your goals with a little effort and patience

The mental preparation to win on the Internet

Before you start your Web projects on the way to wealth there are some important issues to be taken into account: There is no quick and easy money. Neither is it a lottery or gambling. It is not possible to get rich quick. It is true that most on the Internet than any other type of business, is achieved results-based on effort, time, patience and determination. And perhaps most importantly, we need to have clear goals. You need to be totally self convinced that you will make money online. What you think and believe in your mind becomes reality in your life. To help achieve this awareness of wealth I advise you to read and follow the principles of one of my favorite books, Think and Get Rich. Have said this, I believe with all conviction that the Internet is the vehicle that can accomplish a great deal of money in less time than other vehicles. In addition, it is more accessible to anyone and it does not matter about their economic status. You do not need 'to have money to make money'. You just have to invest your time and your head. Most of the ways to make money on the Internet give you money whether or not these are working. When you work for a company, or even when you work by offering your services as an independent entrepreneur, you have to work to earn money. The only way to get out of this is to create resources that help to make money for you. For example, buying a house and then renting it out to others, creates passive income for you, even if you are not working. Many people have become rich with this formula, but now there is something better, and that is the Internet. To buy an apartment requires a lot of things including money, but to mount a Web page you do not need any money, no down payment or guarantors, only a little time and effort. And best part of the Internet is that your pages are working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make you richer. You can even go for a vacation and come back and your website is still making money for you on Autopilot. To better understand the concept of creating resources and making your resources earn money for you, there are several books available online to help you with your endeavor. The books teach you how to get organized and what is required to succeed online.

Cheech and Chong comedy Starts

The iconic team of Cheech and Chong have teamed up once again to bring comedy to stage. They were once well known for lampooning the druge abusing culture. In 1976 their film "Up in smoke" created history , grossing 100M$.

At their peak in the 1970s, Cheech and Chong represented the mainstream embodiment of the attitudes and lifestyles of the underground drug culture. Much as W.C. Fields shot to fame by making alcohol the focus of his act, the duo of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong emerged from a cloud of pot to champion the stoner community.
After a brief meeting on the sets of a TV detective serial, they are once again teaming up after almost 25 years to take their brand of comedy to the road.

During the 80's they worked feverishly to bring out one comedy after another. As the 1970's years of hedonisma nd hippyism slowly graduated to 80's decade of conservitism, they suddenly found themselves without an audience.

This lead the duo to break up and then work in very low budget movies, almost unknown to the later generations.
